The Bible is a book written by the Holy Spirit. Through the Holy Spirit, Apostles and Prophets wrote the Bible. There are 66 books in the Bible. The Bible Teaches us what we should believe concerning God and what duty God requires from man*. There are two testaments, the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament was written when Christ was not yet on earth, and the New Testament was written when and after Christ went to earth.
In Genesis, God created Heaven and the Earth. Adam was born, and the human race fell from the estate wherein they were created, by sinning against God. Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy continue. These books are called the "Pentateuch", meaning five books. All these books cover the creation of the world and the beginning of the nation, Israel.
Then comes Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1+2 Samuel, 1+2 Kings, 1+2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther. All these books cover Israel's history, and have very interesting and true story's, about Israel and their faithfulness/faithlessness to God.
There is also lot of Poetry written in the Bible. Here are the books that contain Poetry: Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs, and Lamentations. Most of the Songs are written by David and Solomon. In these books these are poems with a lot of good advice in it.
Prophets wrote a lot of Prophecies that filled a big part of the Old Testament. Prophecies are written in/by Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah,Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi. These are all written by prophets that were sent by God.
That is the Old testament. The New Testament is also very Interesting. The New Testament starts off with Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These people were all disciples of Jesus. These were the Gospels, and the books talked about the birth of Jesus Christ and their Discipleship with Christ.
The next part of the Bible is when the disciples preach about God. The book is Acts, and shows the acts of the Holy Spirit through the Disciples. Acts was written by Luke, and is when the disciples have to face dangers to tell people about Christ.
Then There are letters written by the disciples. This if of two parts, Paul's letters, and of other Disciples letters. Here are some of Paul's letters: Romans, 1+2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and 1+2 Thessalonians. These are all the letters that Paul wrote to certain Churches that cared for him. Here are some letters that other disciples of Christ wrote: James, 1+2 Peters, 1+2+3 John, and Jude.
The last book was the Revelations. It was written by John. God gave John a vision, and that vision was about what would happen the the end of the world.
Because of this, I would CERTAINLY recommend the Bible to everyone in the world.
