My Grandma is a very good friend of mine. When I was small, my Grandma helped me to speak Chinese, memorize poems, and she also taught me how to use chopsticks. My Grandma also taught me a bit of Arithmetic to!
My Grandma was born in China, and she had a younger sister along with three younger brothers. When when was only a teenager, her parents past away, so she had to take care of the family all by herself. She supported the family by herself. My Grandma lived in a comfortable house, because her uncle was quite a rich man. It was harder to buy houses back then, because of the population, the houses cost more than they should cost.
Back then, there were no toy's to buy. Kids made their own toys/games. My Grandma Skipped rope, hopped hopscotch, played with pig feet bones, and she also played with metal disks + sticks. More over, they had to do work in summer, and not have a nice sunny vacation! Even though they had holidays, they did not have summer vacation.
My Grandma graduated from university, and was a Mechanical Engineer. She designed milking machines, and that was her one and only job.
My Grandma now lives in China, and sometimes she comes to Canada to visit us. I love her.
