To make an Upside down fire,
You want to do it when the weathers dire.
Take a few large pieces of wood,
And stick 'em right next to each other, like in boyhood.
Then take more pieces of wood, and make them smaller,
And put them quite perpendicular, like a good scholar.
Make sure to repeat this some more,
Until its no longer a chore.
Then add some dry grass,
Make sure it is the last.
Then take your fire steel,
And make things real.
By striking it with something sharp,
Just don't break your tarp.
Watch it burn, it is self-feeding,
It should be quite succeeding.
How it burns, is easy to tell,
So don't be impatient, and don't yell.
The hot ashes fall down and burn the wood,
This keeps continuing until it stops for good.
This is a fire, without the smoke,
So you won't croak.
Thanks for being with me,
To learn for free.
And see you next time.
